Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cyber Sky website at cyberskyacademy.com, our learning platform, training courses, learning paths, hands-on labs, CTF challenges, community features, certificates, newsletters and any related services (together, the "Services"). "Cyber Sky", "we", "us" and "our" refer to the operator of the Services.
By creating an account, purchasing a course or subscription, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.
Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old, or at least 13 years old with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
- You must not be barred from receiving the Services under the laws of your country or under applicable sanctions or export-control laws.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
Your Account
- Each account is personal to one individual. You may not share your account, login credentials, VPN configuration files or lab access with anyone else, or sell or transfer your account.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend an account that shows signs of sharing, automated abuse or compromise while we investigate.
The Services
Cyber Sky provides cybersecurity education, including recorded and live courses, learning paths, cloud-hosted practice labs reachable through a VPN or browser, CTF challenges, assessments, certificates of completion, a learner community and educational newsletters. We may add, change or retire courses, labs and features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of material changes to paid content you have already bought.
Corporate training, penetration testing, consulting, threat intelligence and other professional services are governed by a separate written agreement or statement of work. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the agreement prevails for those services.
Ethical Use and Authorized Testing
The Services teach offensive security techniques for lawful, defensive and educational purposes only. You must use what you learn only on systems you own or are explicitly authorized in writing to test.
You agree that you will not:
- attack, scan, exploit or access any system that is not an in-scope target inside a Cyber Sky lab, including other learners' machines, the VPN servers, the Cyber Sky website, platform, APIs, payment pages or cloud infrastructure;
- use lab infrastructure to reach the public internet or third-party systems, or to host malware, phishing pages, command-and-control servers, crypto miners or any other content that is not part of the exercise;
- attempt to break out of a lab environment, escalate privileges on the underlying cloud host, or interfere with lab orchestration, resets or other users' sessions;
- run denial-of-service attacks or resource-exhaustion activity that is not required by the exercise;
- use any tool, technique, code or knowledge obtained from the Services to commit an unlawful act or to harm any person or organization.
If you discover a security vulnerability in the Cyber Sky platform itself (rather than an intended lab vulnerability), report it to [email protected] and do not exploit, disclose or share it. We will not pursue action against good-faith reporters who follow this rule.
You are solely responsible for complying with the computer misuse, cybercrime and data protection laws that apply to you.
Labs, Flags and Academic Integrity
- Lab environments are simulations. All company names, people, data and credentials inside them are fictional. They are provided for training only and may be reset, rebuilt or shut down at any time, which may erase your work inside them.
- Lab time, the number of active machines, VPN sessions and reset requests may be limited by your plan.
- We log lab activity, VPN connections and submissions to operate the labs, grade progress, detect cheating and protect the platform, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- You may not publish, sell or share flags, answers, assessment questions, official walkthroughs or step-by-step solutions for active labs, challenges or exams. You may publish general write-ups for content we have marked as retired or allowed for public write-ups.
- Submitting flags or answers you did not obtain yourself, using another person to complete assessments, or automating flag submission is a violation of these Terms.
Community and Content Rules
When you post in community spaces, comments, CTF events, leaderboards or other shared features, you must not post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, spam, or that infringes someone else's rights, and you must not share personal data of others without permission or share live malware outside approved channels.
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Cyber Sky a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and adapt it as needed to operate and promote the Services. We may remove any content and moderate the community at our discretion.
Intellectual Property
All course videos, slides, written material, lab designs, scenarios, code, challenges, assessments, trademarks, logos and other materials in the Services are owned by Cyber Sky or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access and use the Services for your own non-commercial learning while your account is active and in good standing. You may not:
- download, record, screen-capture, copy, redistribute, resell or publicly share course materials or lab content, except where a download feature is provided for your personal use;
- use the materials to deliver your own training or build a competing product;
- scrape the Services, or use course or lab content to train AI or machine-learning models;
- remove copyright or proprietary notices.
AI Features
Some Services may include AI-powered features, such as a learning assistant that answers questions about course and lab content. AI responses are generated automatically, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and are not professional advice. Verify important information independently. Do not enter passwords, real client data or other sensitive information into AI features. Your use of AI features is also subject to the ethical-use rules above.
Purchases, Subscriptions and Payments
- Prices are shown on the website at the time of purchase, in the displayed currency, and may exclude applicable taxes. We may change prices for future purchases or renewal periods with prior notice.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). We do not store your full card details. You authorize us and our payment provider to charge your chosen payment method for every purchase and renewal.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend paid access until it is resolved.
- Promotional codes, discounts and free trials are subject to the terms shown with the offer and may be withdrawn at any time.
Refunds
Because our Services are digital content that you can access immediately, purchases are generally non-refundable once access has started, except where these Terms or applicable law say otherwise. We will consider a refund request when:
- it is made within 7 days of the first purchase of a course or plan, and you have completed less than 20% of the course content and have not started a paid lab; or
- you were charged in error, or a technical problem on our side prevented you from using paid content and we could not fix it within a reasonable time.
Subscription renewals are non-refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges. To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and order details. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under consumer protection law in your country.
Certificates
Certificates of completion confirm that you completed the relevant course or assessment on the Cyber Sky platform. They are not government-issued, academic or professional licences unless we clearly state otherwise. We may revoke a certificate obtained through cheating, account sharing or another violation of these Terms, and certificate verification will then show it as revoked.
Third-Party Services
The Services may link to or rely on third-party websites, tools and services, including open-source security tools used in labs. We are not responsible for third-party content, and your use of it may be subject to the third party's own terms and licences.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, without refund, if you breach these Terms (especially the ethical-use, account-sharing and academic-integrity rules), if required by law, or if your use creates a security or legal risk for us or others. Where appropriate we will tell you the reason. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) survive.
Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cyber Sky disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure. We do not guarantee any job, certification exam result, salary or career outcome from using the Services. Educational content reflects techniques at the time it was produced and may become outdated.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cyber Sky and its owners, staff, instructors and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Services.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $100.
We are not responsible for any harm caused by your misuse of skills, tools or knowledge obtained through the Services.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Cyber Sky and its owners, staff, instructors and contractors from any claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before starting any formal proceeding, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. Any dispute that is not resolved will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction. This does not remove any mandatory rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes we will give reasonable notice by email or through the platform. Your continued use of the Services after the changes take effect means you accept them.
General
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order or plan terms shown at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and Cyber Sky about the Services.
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- These Terms are available in English and Arabic. If the two versions conflict, the English version prevails.
